Canva gives you a chance to be creative with your projects in different ways. One of the most useful features is the animation tool, which you can use for text, images, stickers, or even the entire page. Using the animation tool is easy, but if you don’t like it, you can always remove it.
In this article, we will go through the process of removing animations in Canva. Additionally, we will discuss how to remove the exit/end animation from your project.
Remove Animations in Canva
Canva’s animation tool allows you to enhance your presentations and make your projects more fun. You can choose between page, text, element, and image animations, depending on exactly what you want to animate. For separate elements on a page or slide, select Page Animations, Text Animations, or Animations. If you want to animate the entire page, there is a animate page option for that.
Canva offers different types of animations. You can choose between basic animations, such as rising, panning, fading, and drifting. You can also make something on the page zoom in or out. For a special effect, browse through the exaggeration category, where you have various animations like tumble, pop, and neon.
Aside from choosing the type of animation you want, there are other things you can tweak. Depending on the animation, you can choose the direction, intensity and speed of the movement. However, these features are only available if you are a Canva Pro subscriber. You can change the duration of the animation if it is for the whole page (between 0.1 and 30 seconds). It is not currently possible to change the animation order or the exact timing, but Canva plans to introduce these features soon.
Any animations you add can also be removed just as easily. This is what you need to do to remove the animation in Canva.
- to open canvas on your favorite browser and log in to your account.
- Go to the “Your Projects” tab.
- Locate and click the project you want to edit.
- Click on the moving item.
- Go to the name of the animation (for example, “Photo Zoom”) at the top of the page or slide. You can also right-click on the item and go to “Animate” in the menu.
- Select the “Remove Animation” button in the lower left corner of your screen.
The animation will be removed immediately. You can also use this method to choose a different animation. If you want to remove a page animation, click anywhere on the page and go to the name of the animation in the upper right corner. You will also find the “Remove Animation” button for the animated page. The same goes for the animation of text, images, and elements.
NB: Although you can change the stickers animation, you can’t remove them, because they are GIFS pre-made.
How to remove Canva animations on the mobile app
You can also use the mobile app to add and remove animations from your projects. Follow the steps below to learn how to do that.
- Open the Canva app on your phone.
- Find the project you want to edit on your homepage.
- Click on the moving item.
- Go to the “Animate” icon at the bottom of the toolbar.
- Select the “None” button to remove it.
Thats all about it. You have successfully removed the animation from your Canva project. If you have several animations for different items, you will have to repeat the same steps for all items.
How to Remove Exit/End Animation in Canva
For some animations for images, elements, and text, you have the option to choose whether the animation will start when you enter or exit the page or move to the next slide. You can also set the animations for both the beginning and end of the page. This can be very useful for longer presentations where each slide includes different elements, such as images, text, stickers, etc.
While you can’t remove the exit/end animation, you can set the animation to start at the beginning of the slide. Here’s how it’s done.
- Select the project you want to edit in Canva.
- Select the moving item.
- Right-click on the selected item and select “Animate” from the list of options.
- Choose “On Entry” under the “Move” section on the left sidebar.
Now when you play the presentation, you’ll notice that the element will move when you enter that page or slide, but when you move on to the next view, it will remain static. Keep in mind that this feature is not available for all animations. Appears only for animations that move left and right or up and down.
There is also an option to reverse the exit movement, but this only changes the direction of movement to the other side.
Edit your animation in Canva
While Canva’s animation feature can make your projects and presentations stand out, it can also be distracting and unnecessary. Fortunately, it will only take a few seconds to remove them. You can do this for all the animations in your presentations.
