Miro gives the user the ability to put things together. Grouping objects makes it easier to move them to new locations without losing alignment and spacing with each other.

• Select all the objects you want to group.

• Use the keyboard shortcut “Control + G” for windows users. Mac users should use “Command + G.”

Once these objects are grouped, they will behave as if they were a single object.

To disassemble:

• Select the group and hold down “Shift + Control + G” for windows users.

• On a Mac, select the combination and hold “Shift + Command + G”.

Please note that you cannot group objects within tables, mindgap nodes, kanbans, USMs, or objects within different frames.

I have an object inside a group that I need to animate. How do I do this work?

Yes, even though multiple objects are grouped, you can still move an object to a new location within that group. To do this, simply double-click on the object and drag it to its new location. You will see that as this object is moved, the bounding box of the group will change to include the new location of this moved object.

Move things exactly where you want them

With Miro, you can move objects to new locations on the whiteboard. You can do this using the Select or Lasso tools, or you can use keyboard shortcuts. You can also align these objects, either horizontally or vertically. Miro’s drop-and-swipe interface makes moving objects a breeze.
